This is what pisses people off. Not that he's black, (because most of us could give a frick), not that he has great skills and is naturally gifted, but that he plays bullshite like this ...

Frick it, no more neutrality ... Go Broncs!
The Forehead vs The Fake ... I'm going with The Forehead.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been dancing on the field all season, but he’s done dancing around the divisive topic of what makes him so polarizing.
Newton lay bare Wednesday in the lead-up to Super Bowl 50 what he believes is the reason why he’s been such a lightning rod for criticism in his career. From pre-draft critiques in 2011 to a Tennessee mother in 2015, Newton has drawn the ire of a number of NFL fans and observers over the years.
“I’m an African-American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven’t seen nothing that they can compare me to,” Newton said.
With a victory against the Denver Broncos in less than two weeks, Newton would become the third African-American quarterback to win the Super Bowl. Newton said he’s comfortable in the position he’s in now and could not “care less what you say” about him.

That doesn't even make sense. Is he saying that there have never been great black QBs before him and why would that scare us?

I can't stand either.
I am burying my head in the sand for this game.

I mean, I wake up at night in cold sweats thinking about Cam, but it's because of that throw to Lutzie in 2010, not because he has dark skin.

Very hard to call cam "the fake". Dude has balled out this year

It is odd to play the race card there. I don't get this "us against them" attitude. It's never going to lead to any positive change.
Not that I know what would lead to positive change.

Just be consistent when we are judging the other quarterbacks too.

he's come across as very fake to me and that has nothing to do with his skills as a football player.
btw, i find him as scary as a muppet.

He's not a fake athlete, he's an incredible athlete, very gifted ... but IMHO he's a fake good person, a fake human being.
He thinks he is smarter than everyone, that as long as he plays his con he is in control of how he is perceived.
In reality, at least IMHO, I do not think he is a good person at heart.
That's why I refer to him as "The Fake."

I don't like it, but as referenced in the original thread, go look at the number of "n words" directed at him in his Twitter mentions and it might change your mind a little bit.
