Yes. Sorry that doesn't fit your narrative though. He's very much associated with Auburn outside SEC country.

The "Look at me" Bammers are in a rage, because the Tide just won their 4th NC under Saban, and they get One News Cycle (24 hours) on all the Sports Networks after the game and a few short pieces with recruiting. The only way they can find someone to talk about their greatness, is to watch Finebaum and is Howdy Doody sidekick McElroy.

Just saw a big headline on ESPN about this being the 3rd Heisman winning QB to play in the Super Bowl. They still associate AU with Cam.

I ate at a fancy little Italian restaurant up here in Colorado last weekend, and I wore an Alabama pin on my tie. My waiter noticed it and mentioned something about the current Bama run, and in the middle of it said "I mean you guys had Cam Newton, Julio Jones..."

I didn't even bother correcting him.

Nobody in America gives a shite about Cam Newton spending a year in Auburn except the Auburn fans who somehow think Carolina winning the SuperBowl means Auburn's football program doesn't suck.

Do you seriously think anyone at the Super Bowl is wanting to interview Gus?

Why interview one of the more mediocre coaches in the league?

ESPN has already done an interview with Gus, asking about his college days. I'm sure something is already prearranged if Gus is going out there to watch the game. This is considered College Football Coaches vacation time, and he usually takes a trip overseas during this time.

Had Luper on Finebaum yesterday talking about Cam's recruitment. Obviously polishing Cam's knob since its the biggest recruit he ever landed.

After it was over, Finebaum rolled his eyes and said he wish he get Urban Meyer to go on the record and tell publically what he told Finebaum about Cam's time at Florida.

basically, Meyer couldn't get him out of Gainsville fast enough...he was just that much trouble.

Meyer should have focused more on Hernandez.

Meyer could tolerate Aaron Hernandez but couldn't take Cam.

Shows what an insufferable douche Cam Newton was at Florida.

Then why was he begging Cam to stay?

Or...or, it may say something about Meyers given Newton has proven the ability to learn and grow from his youthful mistakes.

You guys are fricking ridiculous
It's just football for fricks sake. I can't believe you harbor so much hate for a guy that beat your team 5 years ago.
