craig james just said if newton went to state they are 12-0. they are a decent team but they don't have the wideouts as do auburn.

If Cam went to State, they might have lost @ LSU since it was so early in the season, and they might have lost @ Bama.

I'll say they'd be 12-1 and SEC Champions.

At the very worst, you could flip the result of the Mississippi State- Auburn game.

Who is Auburn's back-up? They would have been dogshit without Cameron Newton this year, but they will be dogshit next year without him, Fairley, their offensive line, etc.

Don't think Auburn's wideouts had a lot to do with Aubrun and Cam's success this year. Cam could have thrown to any group of receivers in the league and had comparable passing numbers. He made the difference with his legs and his size.

Question is does Dan Mullen=Malzahn in regards to properly utilizing Newton?

MSU's defense > Auburn's defense.

Auburn's offensive supporting cast > MSU's offensive supporting cast.

Miss State lost to Bama and LSU because Bama and LSU were simply better. One guy wouldn't have changed that.
