I guess he thinks he's better than all those other students.
Cam Newton is perfectly comfortable as the center of attention. In many ways, he craves it. But when thousands of Auburn graduates walk across the stage this weekend, the Carolina Panthers quarterback won’t be among them.

Good for Cam for graduating. I also don't blame him for not walking. I didn't walk for my undergrad graduation either. It's a pointless, hours long ceremony, surrounded by strangers who happen to have a last name with the first letter as yours.

If he walks, all the attention of graduation goes to him. Why does it matter anyway? He gets his degree whether he "walks" or not. He doesn't want all the attention on him so other graduates can have their day.

I didnt walk at my graduation either. Hotel rooms are a nightmare that weekend. I did what I went to do I graduated.
