How should I feel as a Heat fan in us drafting Richardson? He was a Rebs killer in college, but how does he project in the NBA?

He's gonna listen to the coach, and bust his arse whenever he's on the court.

So glad he got drafted.

Good deal, love those types of players. I'm glad we got a guy who could actually help our team rather than getting some Euro project.

Very good mid range game and very versatile and dependable defensively. Needs to continue to refine his outside shot and make better decisions. I think he becomes a solid rotation player at worst. Could see him maybe being a low level starter down the line if he becomes more efficient offensively. Improved more than any player I've seen at Tennessee from freshman to senior.

His outside shot seemed fine when he played Ole Miss

The Heat will benefit from the empty cupboard that UT had. Richardson being asked to play point at UT, only improved the scope of his skills.

He is a quality kid, who will bust his butt to continue to get better. He is a team player all the way. Very good pressure shooter...pretty much every statistical measurement improved each year at UT. I think they got a quality pick in him.

Probably proud, how many players does UT have in the NBA period?

Just right now...

Stokes, Harris, Richardson (if he gets a contract).

Hopson is a regular 10 day contract guy

So not a lot. Side note: Stokes Harris Richardson sounds like a small town southern lawyer.

Good question...here are the number of Alumni from SEC schools that currently have NBA contracts (Per CBS Sports College Alumni Tracker):

Florida - 11
Georgia - 1
Kentucky - 18
Missouri - 4
Tennessee - 3
Vanderbilt - 3

Alabama - 4
Arkansas - 2
Auburn - 0
LSU - 6
Ole Miss - 0
Mississippi St. - 0
aTm - 4

FTR...Kentucky is the only school from the SEC with more players in the NBA than players in the NFL.

Right now, Watson is an unrestricted Free Agent. Reports from last week say that Indiana isn't going to re-sign him.
