I would say he has played as well as Carl Lawson did his freshman year. Loosing Lawson likely hurts him. Lawson benefitted from playing opposite of Ford. Our Dline outside of Adams and Russell is pretty Southern Conference.

He's too busy trying to figure out how to transfer back to UF without having to sit out a year.

Per Muschamp...

Byron Cowart is "playing very well" in ~20 snaps per game

IMHO, this will continue to increase...

"He is playing defensive line in the Southeastern Conference at a high level and will continue to improve and continue to get better, just like every other freshman I've ever coached that played as a freshman in the Southeastern Conference. There's been a bunch and he certainly is going to be a guy who is going to play at a high level. - See more at: https://auburn.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1811701#sthash.uu7pWS4O.dpuf

Cece Jefferson - 13 tackles, 1 TFL, .5 sack, 1 FR, 2 QBH, 1 PBU
Byron Cowart - 4 tackles, 2 QBH

Anyone who watches Florida, pay attention to #96. He has been destroying people.

He will transfer in December once the gus bus goes off a cliff. Juco. Then UF to get actual coaching.

Kids with NFL bodies and the intelligence to stay out of trouble and get into school on their own merit rarely go to JUCO.

Because he doesn't get a rest?

Also, it's "losing" not "loosing"

CeCe like Lawson in 2013 for Auburn benefits from who is around him on D.

Thanks for catching my typo.

Anyone knows that along the Dline you benefit when the unit is stronger. Only one (2 if the backs stays) can be doubled teamed and who gets it on a given snap can change if the oline has trouble with everybody.

Lawson isn't able to stonewall Yeldon in the 2013 Iron Bowl if he is doubled.

Which is pretty common in football.

That being said, he has shown ability all on his own. Just go back and watch any of Florida's games. #96 is making his presence felt and his presence has been huge in Florida's DL rotation.

As hyped freshman, I expected him to make some great plays and some really bad plays. He hasn't really done either.
