3rd time in 5 seasons this team lost at home and was denied Omaha. Regardless of new money LSU Baseball Fans and their talk about National Seeds or gloating over SEC Tournament Champions, our standard of judgement for almost all seasons is whether or not we make it to Omaha.

By that measure this year was a disappointment. The youth on this team is legitimately a mitigating factor. The inexperience is a factor. We will be one helluva team in 2017.

But we should be playing tomorrow for the right to go to Omaha. We had countless opportunities and we simply couldn't get it done.

This year was summed up earlier tonight when-in his final game in Alex Box-a good ole south Louisiana boy and purple and gold warrior Jared Poche struck out a Coastal Carolina batter while giving up an Unearned Run (may have been a WP but it was absolutely on the catcher). If it could happen to us it did...

Were you under the impression that them sweeping us in two straight at home didn't leave me with a crystallized, incredibly unambiguous opinion that they did just that?

Lamenting opportunities that the team you're a fan of didnt capitalize on does not mean you didn't get outplayed. Those two thoughts aren't binary.
