Some highlights:
Butch's most impressive achievement is his 1st Superior rating in Band during the 7th grade. While the band members might not have won the Championship of Life during his 7th grade year, you Lyle hoped to one day lead a college football program to a victory in the Championship of Life. On November 21, 2016, his Tennessee Volunteers, also known as Team 120, were crowned Champions of Life during a news conference around mid-day. The infamous Vol Twitter, which has never lost, did not react kindly to this championship, and began photoshopping Team 120 with holding up the board game "Life" instead of a trophy.
During the 2016 season, Jones led the Volunteers to a second place SEC East finish, as well as to the Championship of Life.
In addition, Jones has cornered the market on 3-Star recruits, affectionately known as, "The 3-Star General". He's worshipped by Fox Sports writer, Bruce Feldman who annually believes Butch is the best coach in college football and any day now is going to win multiple national titles.
