I think UT fans as a collective need to agree to stop posting boring articles and videos that have nothing to do with anyone but their program.
I know the whole "making strides" thing is new in Knoxville, but it's pretty common with other programs.

They will just buy into the next coach 100% no matter his background.
These are the people who rationalized Dooley to themselves. If I had a program with a history like Tenn I would be marching with fricking pitchforks the DAY some a-hole is hired from a lower Louisiana school that had a losing record.

Bama's had some shitty coaches in my lifetime, through it all I never waivered as a fan. I supported the program, and the coach until their ultimate demise. As an alum all you can do is support the program and hope for the best.

Kinda. I didn't sit there and try to rationalize it when my program hired Mike Sherman. I just mentally accepted that this was a wasted coaching cycle, and I started caring more about non-football sports almost naturally.
He actually turned out a little better (BARELY) than I expected.
