This is actually a pretty awesome video from VFL. Sweet Home Alabama played during UT's football practice and Butch Jones couldn't figure out where it was coming from... so he lost his mind.

It is a good point, and one I agree with.
Same way that it absolutely BLOWS my mind that so many georgia fans crank up corey smith "every dawg has his day" all the way to 11. You dumbfricks...do you not listen to the words? The whole song is about losign to florida again. Yeah, let's celebrate that. "I wish it was 1981"...why? We lost 2 games that year you morons.

The video interviews definitely do. I don't think Sweet Home Alabama being played was staged though.
If they went through that much trouble to stage that entire getup... Butch really has been processed.

Hell, thats classic southern rock. We even play that around Auburn and think nothing of it. Its about the STATE of Alabama, not the gumps per se.
However, given the Vols inferiority complex, I can see how this might give Butch some heartburn.

I'm concerned that Butch is the kind of guy who worries about all of the wrong things. That his gameplans and in-game coaching will leave something to be desired.

That's true at the bottom line, but you're insane if you don't think the bammers have taken that song and made it their own. When anyone in the SEC hears that song, they think of alabama football.
