Did anyone see Butch emceeing the part of their spring game where the QBs were throwing footballs at garbage cans?
I've never seen anything quite like it...I was a little embarrasseed to watch.

So he just got on a microphone while there was fun stuff going on during a spring game? Why is that embarrassing? The spring games are supposed to be fun for the crowds.

You get it. Other folks may complain but the point is fun. Nothing comes out of spring games other than the most painfully vanilla offense and defense coaches can think of. The other stuff is for the fans and the players. I really enjoyed our format and given that we had about 12 starters out due to injury those breaks in standard scrimmaging to do other things made it a fun. Loved the Circle of Life one on ones.
One thing that wasn't televised was the VFL flag football game between halves. Last year, QB Tony Robinson (old timers will remember him as one of the greatest ever to play until he was injured and wound up in trouble with the law). Tony was back again this year which honestly is something else, until last year he'd dropped all contact with Tennessee -- a fan who sent him his football card on the of chances he'd hear back and get it signed to complete his entire collection was what made Tony realize people still cared about him (he thought he was long forgotten but he is one of out Top 5 best QBs ever).

I found it horrible to watch him pumping sunshine up the skirts of the fans. I think you will not see espn going to UT if a lot of the competition is like what I saw.

I'm going to sit back and not say anything until I see how this year unfolds.
By your third year, especially now that all the players are his, he should have a 9 win team in the very very down and weak eastern division. I think anything less than 9 wins this year at rock top is unexcuseable.
Beating Iowa meant nothing, IMO. Iowa didn't give two craps about being there, I thought Tennessee's season was summed up last year when they shite the bed at home against Mizzou.

That was totally embarrassing. Where was the booth where they guess your weight or age? Were they serving cotton candy and candy apples?
