I've heard talk of this including Bama some kinda way, maybe Bama fans could give more info?

I think this would be great for raising the profile of basketball in the state. If it's done in December/January it would grab some attention post football.

Would like to see schools like Troy, Jacksonville State ect participate. Maybe have a big weekend in Birmingham?

Alabama has always avoided playing UAB in any sport, anywhere, or anytime.

Yeah, I really doubt Alabama would ever agree to play UAB, tbh.

This will be good for the two basketball schools in the state to play each other! I'm excited.

Too bad Bama is scared of UAB

sweeping one in state program per year is enough. No reason to beat up on the rest of the state.

Went to the LSU/UAB contest in Birmingham back in December. The Blazers gave the Tigers a spirited contest that night, losing by 9 on a night that the Tigers were performing at a B+ rate. I picked ISU today but not shocked at the upset.

This isn't a new idea. They played the double header a few times. It was a lot of fun and sold out the BJCC, but Auburn killed it. Didn't want to play in Birmingham anymore.

We were there,too.

I felt UAB matched up well with Iowa State. Picked them in both I'm in.

Don't think that's an issue for Bruce going forward and I guess if it's played at the BJCC rather Bartow it would be a neutral site?

Do you think Auburn's new coach will honor that contract in 2016?

I'd love to see an in-state tourney type deal. It'd really ramp up basketball in the state. we should play UAB every year.
