Pearl thrives on the media attention. Thanks to the SEC Network, even a historically poor SEC Program will get much more attention than the best Mid-Major. Pearl knows that if he wants to move to the next level, he will have to show success at AU never seen before.

This is true. Prior to the SECN, Memphis would've been a better destination for a basketball coach than Auburn - now? AU probably is.
