It was my understanding that lsu feels like the turd no one in the SEC cares about. I do believe that I have read a post or two on here that lsu folk want to go to the Big12 because of this perceived lack of respect.

I think we replace you with La Tech.

I'm sorry you'll have to put up with us, but how the hell else are you going to remain solvent?

With the SEC network in place....ANY expansion will be "foot-print" based....i.e. into states w/o a current conference member. Most likely would be N.C. and VA

The only options are Va/VaTech and NC State.

Who other than the OP ever said anything about going to 16 fricking teams? Hell, 14 is damn near unmanageable. Yes let's add 2 more so we can play 7
Divisional games and almost never play the other division as we already have a fricking permanent team from the other division and even going to a 9 game conference schedule you would not play 6 of the other divisions teams each year. It's ridiculous to call that a Conference. It should be called an alliance or confederation but it sure as Hell is not a Conference when you don't play 6 of the other 15 teams in your own conference on any given year. IMO 12 was plenty and 14 is already pushing it. 16 would be a disaster to the point that
you really lose identity. May as well as go to 20 teams and split into 2 conferences and have an Alliance for Post season and crown our own "Champion". It's a fricking joke.

Sorry if I beat a dead horse, but I was listening to the radio and the topic of conference realignment came up. They went as far as to say the B1G would poach Missouri from the SEC, and Arky to the Big XII. They immediately started talking about replacements for the SEC. That's what brought this thread to mind.

Anyone that thinks there is even the smallest chance Mizzou voluntarily leaves the SEC for the BIG at this point is clueless about conference realignment and not worth listening to.

As for the question of who to add to get to 16 it's pretty simple. We take one school from Virginia and one from North Carolina. My personal preference would be Virginia Tech and NC State.

If for some reason the ACC is off limits we could add Oklahoma but the problem becomes who to add with them? None of the other leftover 12 conference teams are that appealing. Texas would be if it weren't for the Longhorn cancer that comes with them and that cancer has proven deadly for college athletic conferences. That cancer has killed one conference and left the other weak and deformed and could yet kill it off.

Bringing the SEC to 16?
We all know that the SEC is the premier super conference in the NCAA. So if you were the SEC commissioner:

I am so sick and tired of these thread so I will say the University of Kiev and the University of Berlin.

Think of all the tv money

Any thread that has kicking Mizzou out of the SEC is always popular here, so you have to give them that. Just roll with the punches you damn Yankee.

Why can't we just have the conference changes board back?

Much better than seeing this thread 3x a week.

And the correct answer is NC State + Virginia.
