Sorry if I beat a dead horse, but I was listening to the radio and the topic of conference realignment came up. They went as far as to say the B1G would poach Missouri from the SEC, and Arky to the Big XII. They immediately started talking about replacements for the SEC. That's what brought this thread to mind.

We don't want those vicious rivals in our conference.

Most of it is media driving rumors from (name redacted to not give them more hits) as they are the only ones still talking about realignment. Big 12 is the only one still talking about it because they are the ones left behind in the last round and now they are on the sinking ship with lots of leaks.

correct answer but not necessarily for that reason.
can't happen and I don't particularly want it to (ACC fan) but that's 2 states in the top 12 and they are growing and make sense continguously
Even if it did happen I don't know that they'd ever bring their football up to par but they'd given UK somebody to play basketball with consistently.

So your football team has been in the league for 20+ years and has never done anything that anyone gives a crap about?
Sounds right.

The big question is which wrestler is that you are using for your avatar?
Oh... Sewanee and Southern Illionis are my picks. Though I wouldn't turn down the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

1. Clemson and Florida State.
2. North Carolina State and Virginia Tech.
3. North Carolina is tied to Duke and Virginia would want to stay in the ACC or join the B1G for academic reasons. NCS and VT focus on football and would increase the footprint of the SEC.
