Saban goes on boat rides with Dabo
Who would have thunk it? Saban and Dabo are BFFs down in Boca del Vista. When Saban retires you know he is going to hand the keys over to his BFF

quote:
"I like Dabo," Saban said. "He's got a place at Boca Grande where we have a place. We take boat rides together and go out to eat. He has got a great family. The boys play basketball and all that stuff. I think everybody's got to be who they are and I think his relationship that he has with the players is the most important thing, and I think that's always been really, really good.

If Dabo wins a title at Clemson why would he jump to Bama? Its the same thing as Jimbo jumping to LSU-- why leave an easier job for a more demanding one with tougher competition-- Clemson and FSU basically get 9 wins a year to begin with, play one SEC team a piece, play each other, and play a non-SEC OOC power before coasting into the conference title game against Duke or UNC or whoever why leave that to play 9 SEC teams on the way to the playoffs?

Why did Coach Cal leave Memphis for UK? He played in a title at Memphis. He had #1 recruiting classes.
The answer is that elite level coaches aren't beta as frick and they want to challenge themselves.

Because regarding college football, Bama is better than Clemson in every possible way. And he's an alumnus.

but he built Clemson
so he just walks away from his guys and what he built
I don't think so
lot of smoke about Nick - I don't think I buy it - I think Nick loves his guys and enjoys seeing them grow up
Nick doesn't talk about winning football games when he shares from his office on TV
He talks about his guys and he also talks about his guys from Lsu
Nick is a complex guy with few friends but his guys love him
Nick does all this and wins - Les does all this and wins sometimes - I enjoy both guys because they express from the heart love to these young men
so he just walks away from his guys and what he built

so he just walks away from his guys and what he built
Yes, in a heartbeat.
