Will be tough to maneuver through this schedule.... If we lose our momentum it could easily turn into a 3 or 4 loss season, but if we stay poised we can make a big run... Obvious question marks at defense, but I feel we will be a lot better on that side of the ball this year... We need leaders to step up on both sides of the ball that will stay calm in the big pressure situations... With all of the teams becoming more and more competitive it should be a very intriguing season in the SEC. There will be more upsets this year than usual just hope we can survive and stay away from them.

One person said Auburn gets ALL their tough games at home. That's not really presumptuous, it's just stupid.

No, he said "really tough." The fact is UGA and Bama are likely to be the 2 toughest games on our schedule.

As we all know, Auburn is the favorite this year to win the West

Is that everyone at the Auburn Piggly Wiggly??

Everyone else is going to pick Bama and LSU as usual

One of those teams, yes. The other, doubtful.

Total record of our 2014 road game teams was 41-12. Using last year's record (which I realize is last year), 2015 road game teams record is 28-22.

I realize last year is last year and agree with you that we don't actually know how good or bad teams will be this year, but it's pretty easy to see how some could perceive there is a schedule advantage compared to last year.

That is not to say it will be easy. It won't be. 7-5 is very possible if they aren't careful.

AU gets 2 of what has historically been their toughest games at home this year.

When you get two of your biggest rivals at home, it's damn sure more favorable than playing them in their house. Would you not agree?

I doubt LSU gets many picks, but I think their schedule sets up pretty well for them to make a big move early. I think they are getting over looked more than they should be.

"Easy" in the SEC is relative. Our schedule last year was one of the most difficult in CFB history, so compared to that yea, it's easy. Compared to 90% of the other teams in America it's extremely difficult.

I believe LSU has a talented defense, but Steele will have to show me something... IMO he was one of the worst hires this offseason.

They'll lose @ LSU because they are cursed there.

MSU won't be a cake walk right after that either.

@ Arkansas, OM, @ TAMU, and UGA all in a row will be tough.

Alabama at the end obviously not a give me either.

I think they lose at least 2, just like everyone else in the west.

Maybe. We don't know how good Georgia and Bama will be by the end of the season. Plus playing your SEC opener in week 3 on the road against Lsu isn't exactly ideal.

That is why the schedule is so much better this year than last. AUs Defense will have to get use to playing under Will Muschamp, having pre-season and two additional weeks is ideal for this Defense. Having LSU early helps, because week 8 LSU will be much better than week 3 LSU. Miss St and Ole Miss at home works to AUs benefit.

I have said it all along. If AU Defense can cause 2 additional stops per game, they will be in the playoff. AUs Defense forced a punt on less the 19% of the opponents (SEC) possession, so two stops in not asking for much.

Offense will always be good with Malzahn, defense should be improved with Muschamp.
