Right, but you have Lsu, Arkansas and aggy on the road. Tough to chalk those up as guaranteed wins at this point.

Nobody has.

And they get MSU/UGA/UA (lost to all 3 last season) at home this year.

No one is chalking them up as guaranteed wins, it's just a better draw at home this season vs. last season. Post both road schedules and you will see.

Maybe. We don't know how good Georgia and Bama will be by the end of the season. Plus playing your SEC opener in week 3 on the road against Lsu isn't exactly ideal.

We don't know how good any of the teams will be at any point in the season, but you made the assumptions in the op that both would be contenders for the SEC.

SEC West schedules are rarely ideal. The only point anyone has made is that this season the schedule is more favorable than last season. Mostly due to the somewhat less daunting road schedule.

In conclusion, Auburn's schedule isn't nearly as easy as everyone has been claiming.

Has anyone claimed this? They get 3 of their toughest games at home, but I don't think anyone can say they have an easy schedule.

So it's a little presumptuous to say you have an easier schedule this year.

Almost any prediction about the future is a little presumptuous, right? What is your point?

We could easily be under 10 wins this year. Am I happier about this years schedule vs last years? Of course. That doesn't make it easy.

They have the next Cam at QB,

I'm pretty sure if they had the next Cam Newton on their roster last season, he would have been their starter at QB.

We had the GOAT, Nick Marshall, starting. For an example of how this works, just consider that Cam was Tebow's back-up too.

All three are top 5 rustlers for sure

Already made my point on the previous page:

Eh, maybe. Last year you beat Lsu at home and lost to State on the road. Those games are flipped of course. You also beat Ole Miss on the road but lost to aggy at home. Again, those games are flipped this year. Looks like a wash really.

You don't have an easier road schedule this year. I realize you were taking a subtle jab at Lsu, Arkansas and aggy fans by saying your easiest SEC games are on the road this year. I actually admire the subtlety. It's just not accurate at all.

I don't know, baring a shift in power, years where uga and bama are at home are always going to be regarded as a better home/road schedule for auburn. It's at the end of the season, both teams are the top tier of competition and they're our biggest rivals.

That's not a subtle jab, that's just analysis.

there has been a lot of talk about their schedule being easy,

It's not about it being "easy" as it is about getting the really tough teams all at home.

Who is saying their schedule is easier?

AU's home/away schedule for '15 is more favorable than '14, but by no means is it easier.

2014 Road Games - Kansas State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama

2015 Road Games - LSU, Kentucky, Arkansas, A&M

2014 was more difficult than 2015 appears to be. Still, both are difficult road schedules.

Yes it is an easier schedule. I think we played 5 top 25 teams on the road last year. We don't even play 5 road games this year

What does your version of favorable mean then? Potentially easier or what?

It's a little presumptuous to say one way or the other. Don't you think?

UGA and Bama are our two biggest games every year as fans. If they are home games, then the schedule is perceived favorable.
