That won't stop us from being overly optimistic while we still can! Seriously though, I wish we took a more wait and see approach. You'd think these guys would know better than to declare our QB troubles over preemptively.

Pretty much. LSU will have a more efficient offense than A&M this year.

He's gonna be a good one. Should've started last year, IMO

Fake Stanford fan show some respect their offense is similar to Stanfords

Should've redshirted last year. He got thrown into the fire because LSU's QB depth transferred out/Jenning's was awful. He was raw mechanically and mentally last year and wasn't ready to start in the SEC as a true freshman.

LSU actually had a damn good offense in 1986
So thanks!

Not sure if there's a "return on investment" for fantasy sports considering I don't play them, but if there is then you're in for a hell of a return. I'm usually pretty negative during the preseason because I don't like to set myself up for disappointment but he's going to have a good year, super talented QB with the ability to run and an absolute cannon for an arm

Well, I believe it's more so we cant adapt our offense to anyone. We want to do 1 thing and a true freshman just isnt going to pick it up. Harris is most comfortable in shotgun running a 3 and 4 wide type offense, during the MSU game he just looked completely at home doing that in a constant 2 minute drill. Then we come out against Auburn and try and put him in our normal run of the mill complicated NFL offense and he doesnt know the plays and just looks plain uncomfortable. I wish we would just adapt to the player at times, but they will run what they want to regardless of knowledge or player. Harris should be much more comfortable overall this year with all the practice and knowledge he's gained though.

This just puts LSU on a whole other trajectory now that Harris finally beat out Jennings.
Pre season rankings would have been different had this announcement happened earlier.

The 1986 LSU Tigers football team was led by Bill Arnsparger in his third season and finished with an overall record of nine wins and three losses (9–3 overall, 5–1 in the SEC), as Southeastern Conference (SEC) champions with big wins over:
@Alabama
@Florida
@Miss St.
Notre Dame
Georgia
Texas A&M
