for the Frogs vs Hogs game at 3:30 pm. This will definitely be an upgrade over Verne.

Looking forward to it. I will miss Verne, but Nessler is fantastic. CBS made a great pick.

Will they have a new intro, or do we still have to hear Verne slobber over Tebow?

I think Verne and Gary asking each other if the other knew Tebow and Riley Cooper were roommates should be played every Saturday, followed by a chortle.

He called the UF/Arkansas game on CBS last year, IIRC

Nesseler will make Danielson look like a rookie.

I disagree. I think Danielson had to dumb his act down so much (for Verne)that he's gonna be able to shine now.

The LSU-Bama game will feel strange without hearing Verne call plays while wolfing down a sammich. Maybe Nessler will throw in a "wow" at some point.

Or a "in your life?!?", "have you ever?!?"

The big question: Who's gonna give us Texas Lutheran score updates?

Uncle Verne + Gary Danielson duo is the greatest of all time.

Can't imagine too many Bama fans missing Verne.

Im trying to remember if Nessler is someone I enjoy or hate. The list of commentators I've enjoyed is much shorter than the ones I've hated so we're looking at a 10% chance he's on the good side.

I usually just sync up my local teams radio broadcast to soak in the homercast.

I miss the younger Verne that didn't frick up what he was trying to say every other sentence. Now, the only thing left for Verne is golf coverage, where his shtick is to say as little as possible. Even so, he still struggles when he does speak.

No way.

Danielson is the most knowledgeable commentator out there. Its obvious he does hours and hours of research on both teams. Routinely calls plays before they happen.

They're going to be a perfect pair.
