Ole Miss fans seem to have a hard time understanding that when a coach commits NCAA violations while at your school, the school is going to get in trouble

You're talking about a place that still celebrates the Confederacy. The sing Old Times There Are Not Forgotten.

Being up to speed and current isn't exactly their thing

Right now just rumors, but would anything surprise you at this point?

No. If there was ever an institution that defined lack of institutional control it's OM in this particular era. Every one from Freeze to Bjork to even Vitter and likely more that I don't know the name of have run and/or allowed the entire AD to turn into a pit of absolute chaos. No rules applied at OM. Inmates definitely ran the asylum.

I dunno, they seem to have a lot of institutional control.. they're directing all the cheating and other illegal issues. Kinda like Baylor did :)

Fair enough. It's honestly the dumbest thing imaginable. Pure hubris. That kind of behavior internally and the lies and evasions directed towards the NCAA in particular is what got BAMA hammered so hard back in the day. The worst thing you can do is lie and cover things up. When the NCAA comes a calling, you best get on your knees and beg forgiveness. It's the only strategy that works in terms of lowering the penalties.

Lying gets you hit HARD. Just ask Pearl whose offense was minor and would've gotten him no more than a slap on the wrist had he told the truth.

For what? What we already know?

That Hugh Freeze is likely fricked for good?

I know this sounds like I'm backing off the story. I am not. The big story will drop mid-morning to afternoon tomorrow. say what you will but I was right about the NCAA response and will be proven right about this.

You haven't brought anything that wasn't already known HJ. Why are they holding the impact till mid-morning to afternoon tomorrow? You said it was breaking this afternoon.

And yet there are posters here who completely believe that while simultaneously remaining convinced that AU bought Cam, the NCAA knew it, but they cleared us anyway.

a lot of posters were under the impression that "it was all under a previous staff" was somehow a valid reason why Ole Miss wasn't going to get hammered for the ACT fraud.

For whatever reason, Ole Miss posters seem to think blaming Nutt for everything was their "get out of jail" free card. It's incredible how this has come back to haunt Freeze.

We get it. You are talking about the rumor that Bo Wallace was gambling on Ole Miss football games and that Freeze was somehow involved.

Hmmm...

Thinking back on that Bama-OM game in 2013, Bama won 20-0, but it was a weird game. OM was moving the ball a lot on our D, but kept going for first downs on fourth rather than kicking makeable FG's and eventually was shut out. I remember the announcers wondering what Hugh was thinking and why they refused to go for FGs.

Very weird.

did the same crap in the arkansas shutout game, too. 30-0 game. a few picks in the endzone that were some serious lame ducks.

Or maybe Wednesday, early morning. Or a little later. Thursday at the latest. Certainly by the weekend. Or early next week...

Meh. Nothing but confirmation bias unless there's proof of conversations and/or money exchanges behind the scenes. Like the Briarcrest allegations, this is pretty damning stuff to be alleged

Finally, someone figured it out. And I am not going to break this massive story with all the details on a message board. Hint at it all day but not when the consequences will be so big

Get over yourself, Cronkite.

And you didn't say a damn thing. You alluded to crap to make people guess. That way you can try to take credit if one of the guesses happens to be right, while simultaneously try to deny if any are wrong because you never gave any worthwhile details.
