No they played in 1999 as well in Knoxville (and 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2010). Oddly enough that's (1997) the only time Memphis has ever beaten Tennessee.
Their series in basketball is pretty weird and petty, though

CG is correct. I thought I knew what real football "hate" was until I moved to SC. These folks don't play. I've had coworkers absolutely freak out on each other. One moment it was a playful sparing session, the next someone is having to get between them.

I know everyone thinks it has to be Bama/Barn but the Clemson and USC rivalry is serious business. Which by the way is one reason I became a USC fan after moving here from Louisiana. I got sick of hearing the Clemson fans tell me it's not really a rivalry at all, while simultaneously trash talking USC and constantly basing them.

My cousin is a Carolina fan and she said that she hates UGA more and she lives in Lexington. Apparently Clemson is the clear #1 but the hate for UGA is pretty rampant over there.

I can't stand tech but I don't get rustled by them either. Tech fans aren't as bad as others in day to day life but they're unbearable at the games. UGA fans definitely get more heated with auburn and Florida fans.

They do it on here. Follow us around like puppy dogs and constantly shite talk when you won't catch us on their tigernet site because we can't stand being near them in any way, shape or form. And like I said earlier, it goes waaaaaaaaaaaay beyond simply sports...the hate permeates everyday life. It's the primary reason my ex and I cannot be around each other. It always develops into a heated (and I do mean heated) fight centered around Carolina and Clemson.

Not really...I mean of course we want to win but we don't hate the actual people of Georgia like we do the actual individuals of tatertech. I'm sure there are some but I lived in Lexington County for a long time and never really came across it. Worked at both Lexington Medical Center in the ER as well as trauma at Palmetto Richland in Columbia and it was pretty much exclusively a Carolina/ clemson thing.

If someone even types the word Clemson on here, that Carolina broad or another USCjr poster types a thesis on Clemson. USC is the most rustled & it even isn't close
