I hate to admit this as a Bama fan but Bo is my favorite football player ever. He is the best athlete I have ever seen in my life and he is also a great person.

He is a hard guy not to like. No matter what team you pull for

Very nice guy. Got to meet him once. He is that type that actually seems like he enjoys meeting people.

Meh, no. I will freely admit to any man that I will cry like a baby when Earl Campbell dies. He is my sports hero, even if he was wayward in his youth and played for the team in Austin.

I have no love for Earl Campbell. Just another sip.

You likely like him because you are younger than him and knew him as a pro first and became a fan. Which is understandable.

It'd be like a young kid now growing up a Kevin Durant fan and then attending A&M.

I grew up down the road from him about 10 miles and he is only abot 6 years older than me. I knew him when he was still in high school. I wanted him to go to Bama but still pulled for him in college. He is just a special person!

Bo Jackson was Superman. His destruction of Brian Bosworth and the Seahags on MNF was jaw-dropping.

Where did Bo land on ESPNs Top 100 athletes of the 20th century?

Hated him at AU but loved to see him run in the NFL and everything he did in MLB. He just had that IT factor going.

The only thing Bo has done I didn't really like was his comment he made about black QB's in the SEC not getting fair chances. This was in the middle of Cam Newton's Heisman year. Other than that, yes, one of my all time favorites.

I like Bo the best out of the Big 3 from the 80s at Auburn but...

black QBs in SEC not getting their chances

Charles Barkley said nearly the same thing when Gene Chizik was hired. Something along the lines that if a black coach had a 5-19 record, that Auburn wouldn't have given the smallest thought about him.

I hope you are wise enough not to ever take anything Charles says seriously.

And he overcame that embarrassing stutter.
