Every school in the East has had coaching turnover since Butch has come to Tennessee.
Every coach in the West would have won at least two East titles at Tennessee in the past five years.
The O/U on Tennessee wins this year is 7.5. It should be the easiest money on the board yet people are nervous about it.
Tennessee has been recruiting amongst the top 15 and is No. 5 right now in the 24/7 rankings. Either recruits are getting an undeserved "Tennessee bump" or Butch can't coach.
Asks if you trust a 5 star with Butch or a 3 star with Mullen to be a better player in four years. Notes that three 3-stars under Mullen have huge NFL contracts (Cox, Jackson, Slay), another won the Thorpe award (Banks) and another was NFL Rookie of the Year (Prescott)

I have no idea who Bo Bounds is but he is not exactly breaking news by inferring Butch can't coach.

Their O/U was 9.5 last year with an easier schedule and a senior QB.
No reason to think Vegas is underestimating Botch this year. 7-5 (or worse) is definitely possible.

Fletcher Cox was a 4 star player, FWIW.
But I agree. Would much rather have Dan Mullen than Butch Jones.

It's understandable though. They've under-performed their expectations the last couple of seasons. Couple that with replacing their starting QB, RB, and 4 or so huge defensive pieces and it's easy to see why people aren't bullish on the Vols.
The Georgia Tech game will be tough. If they lose that one, how do they respond? They have games against UGA, South Carolina, Alabama, LSU, and Mizzou. All of those are expected to be improved over last season. Vandy and Kentucky are not cake walks either. 7.5 is a scary number because you really can't look at what Tennessee returns, look at their schedule, and see 8 guaranteed wins.

I don't follow Tennessee and we don't get Tennessee talk much here in Mississippi. They were looking at the O/U wins for the SEC and he went on a tirade about Butch. Seems that the UT fans agree so not much to it.

Not really, 2015 we met expectations (and our 4 losses were by a combined 17 points, 2 of those losses were to playoff teams. Fell apart against Oklahoma, but should have won that game, and would have if Maybin hadn't gotten injure. We should have won in Gainesville, but the Gators had a golden horseshoe up their arse, as usual. The only "bad loss" was Arkansas). And we met expectations in 2014, although it took a Herculean performance by Dobbs to get Bowl eligible.
2016, we shite the bed, no question about it. We should have walked with the East title, and had a NY6 bowl bid. Some might say injuries and off-field drama, but even so, we fricked up and everyone knows it.
