X and Y never had the #1 player and top 5 recruiting class at their disposal. plus Z was racking up those wins OOC with cupcakes.

That sounds like a recruiting deficiency for an SEC basketball coach.

Regardless, recruiting is embedded in the results posted.

That's why I focus on conference record in these comparisons.

You're right, Johnny Jones is legit. Please don't keep him.

The information you just listed is why many wanted Coach Y fired after year 3 and thought year 5 was a make or break for him.

Can't fight these numbers. Coach Z is a much better coach than coach Y and coach Y just won the conference coach of the year award. You guys need to lock coach Z down

I find it funny that Coach Y and Z should even be compared. I don't think Z has sniffed the conference title and blew a major lead in last years tourney in the 1st round.

Post coach x results by year and you'll see why he has probably done the best job

Coach Z made it to the tournament in year 3. Coach Y did not in years 3 or 4.

I also looked up first year results compared to Avery Johnson, Mike Whote, Howland, Barnes. That is even more interesting.

Based on these stats, it makes sense why coach Ys fan base wants coach Y gone. Why does coach Zs fan base want him gone?

Could we get recent recruiting rankings and conference titles?

Asking for a friend.

None of these coaches won an SEC title in their first 4 years.

Jones came closest by finishing 3rd in years 3 and 4.

Jones wins the recruiting prowess comparison over the first 4 years. Not sure why you'd want to consider that factor.

Recruiting is a big part of coaching and what you do with the talent once it gets there is also a significant factor.
