Saban just signed a contract extension and had his house paid off by the REC. He is not going anywhere for at least another 5 years.

So this is going to be the line this year instead of him going to Texas.

He's not going anywhere except coach at Bama and win several more NC's.

Rec paid off his debts. He made a number of paid investments over the years and they have caught up to him. Rec took care of that and now he can start saving for retirement.

I thought Saban sold the lakehouse last year to help ease the debt?

Now we sound like Bama and Auburn fans when Saban was at LSU. Everyday on sports talk radio in B'ham when discussing LSU, it was all about when is Saban going to leave LSU because they were tired of losing to us.

I would root for Bama this year if Saban promised me he'd retire after. Otherwise, no deal

No, I'm not making this up. He was a groomsman in my wedding. He grew up in Baton Rouge and is an LSU fan at heart.

He would have absolutely no motivation to be negative about Bama. Oh and tell him he's welcome for being allowed to work for us.

I've heard the exact same thing about Tulane & Curtis Johnson. The second that Curtis Johnson wins the National Title at Tulane he is retiring and wants to play professional slot machines for a living.
