Thank you Mr Powers.

P.S. You have a fine team as long as Colt doesn't hurt his shoulder.

The same Bill Powers that was fired from UT for rigging admissions and lying to an inquiry board?

This is comical.

Bill Powers, the power behind Deloss Dodds, who tried his best to move his t-sips to the Pac 12, and thought he could drag the Aggies with him?

The same Bill Powers who was moments away from being canned by Gov Rick Perry?

Bill Powers the former head of one of the largest cheating athletic programs in the world?

That Bill Powers?

Ha Ha Ha Saban is too smart to get caught up in that nonsense.

Thanks for reminding me why we got out of their shitty conference. Bill Powers is the perfect embodiment of those arrogant asses.

Wait, wut?

So the new narrative is that Saban didn't turn them (UT) down but they turned him down-didn't hire Saban becuase this Bill Powers guy thought Saban was-is a cheater?

Holy shite, that's beyond pathetic.

Riiiiight. Texas' ego won't allow them to admit they aren't nearly as attractive of a program as they once were, so this clown has to throw allegations. He's like the loser who the pretty girl was polite to but never wanted to date, so now he's trying to say he never wanted to date her any way b/c of her reputation (which isn't bad).

This being third person, and Saban admitting to helping folks cheat in the NFL, I guess this makes sense.

Did Powers and Mack Brown ever come out stating they really wanted Saban to come to Texas?

Nope.

The truth is Texas’ high-powered donors — two, in particular — and the Longhorn fan base coveted Saban. But then-UT President Bill Powers continually told me Saban would not be the next Texas head coach...

Jesus, don't act like an Aggie.

There's not anything inconsistent with Powers not wanting Saban, a whole host of other Texas folks wanting Saban, and Saban telling Texas he wasn't interested.
