Alabama struggled last season at home against Tennessee at the end of a tough stretch (7 straight games; 5 of six being vs Ole Miss, @ UGA, vs Arkansas, @ A&M, vs Tennessee) before the bye week and Tennessee having just come off a bye week. This year Alabama is coming off a similar stretch, though not quite as rough (Kent State and Kentucky between Ole Miss and Arkansas/Tennessee).

A&M could present a similar challenge, as they had a week to prepare and heal. Kind of expected the line to be 3-4 points lower because of it as well.

I feel like we are really fresh and healthy, none of these tough games were really that tough. We have no significant injuries, and quite freaky i would rather take this momentum into the game than wait around a week.

A&M needed the bye week in the worst way. After the Arkansas & Tenn games, we have about a half dozen injuries to key players.

The bye week helps A&M because

But I agree, I don't think not having a bye hurts Alabama. They don't seem banged up and bruised.

Yep, it helps A&M but no affect on Bama.

They are still fresh - rested the starters in the 4th Q anyway

And sometimes it kills momentum. If we are playing well I'd rather keep playing. When we beat UT 12-10 in 09 you could tell the team was out of gas. We don't need a bye week yet.

I feel a bye week right now doesn't matter...it almost caught us this time last year against UT....
