No one denies that the ball players of today are bigger, stronger and faster. What about sheer toughness? Who would you say from your school, past and/or present, has/had the grit?

Glen Dorsey ate sacrificial lambs that were left at his door at 1:17 AM every Thursday night before a home game

Also gotta give a nod to Ryan Swope

Dat Nguyen played almost all of the 1998 Nebraska game with two broken fingers that he didn't have set until halftime.

Bear Bryant played against Tennessee with a broken leg. Bama beat UT 25-0.

In a 1913 game against Tennesse, Bama's Robert Van de Graaff tried to rip his ear off so he could continue playing. They taped it to his head and he helped the team beat the Vols 6-0.

Jack Youngblood, Wilber Marshall, Shane Edge come to mind historically. Tebow & Harvin were both extremely tough.
