On case yall forgot about Tebow's accomplishments...

2006 - significant contributor to national championship team as freshman
2007 - 55 Tds, heisman winner, 9-4 record
2008 - heisman runner up, NC 13-1, outplayed heisman winner in NC
2009 heisman runner up, 13-1, Sugar Bowl record performance, one win away from playing in NC

Tebow was a truly great player without question but Manziel is off to a much stronger start. Tebow was really just a specialty/short yardage player as a Freshman. Manziel won the Heisman. Manziel was only getting better as the year went on as well, I predict he will actually be even better next year barring injury.

Will Manziel play 4 years and surpass Tebow career wise? Who knows. That isn't the question though. The question is if Manziel is better than Tebow as a player. I think there is a strong argument that he is. If Sumlin had let Manziel finish a few of those blowouts he likely would have had a few 600 yard games. Tebow wasn't nearly as complete a QB as Manziel, and that is with only his Freshman year to compare the 2.

So far the only comparison is Freshman year, which is advantage Manziel. But, the rest of Tebow's career accomplishments is a big cliff to climb.

That is the point. To make such a bold claim so matter of fact is just stupid. The don't use the term sophomore slump for nothing either. Who knows how things play out next year.

That is with the company of powerhouses like: Duke, Virginia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech. Florida will probably bring more fans to the game than Miami, they have the worst fans in college football

Did you really just say Florida would bring more fans than someone elese in a visiting stadium...hahahahaha...Should we show pictures pf the stands during the Sugar Bowl. The only hard thing about their game is against Miami will be who has the shortest shorts on....the Miami women or the Florida guys in jorts.

Only sold 7K of the 17K available seats, if I recall correctly. Really embarrassed the SEC on multiple levels in the Sugar Bowl.

Can't wait to stomp that U of their helmets, if they don't get the death penalty from the NCAA first.

Our offense isn't blowing anyone out next year unless Fulwood and Taylor are the real deal.

Oh, I still know that JFH is going to beast his way to a NC. I was just saying it's a tall order. And since we're talking about Tebow, where was his sophomore slump?

LSU is tougher

Arkansas' is tougher than that. BRUTAL road schedule:

@Bama
@Florida
@LSU
@Ole Miss
vs. aTm
vs. South Carolina

Has anyone ever played Bama, LSU, and Florida all on the road in one season? Brutal, just nasty.

Highly debatable and probably wrong:

LSU has:

@ Alabama
@ UGA
away vs TCU (better than Miami)
vs Florida
vs A&M

Last year's Missouri schedule was a big "welcome to the gang rape" for them:

vs Arizona State
vs Syracuse
vs Vanderbilt
vs UGA
vs Alabama
@ USC
@ Florida
@ A&M

How big a role did schedules play this past season in the SEC championship race? Judge for yourself. But the two teams making the SEC championship game -- Alabama and Georgia -- both avoided the toughest teams in the other division

Great point, OP.

Now tell me about the Aggies cross divisional schedule for next season...

LSU is going to have tough sledding. Next year's schedule is rough to say the least, and bama and atm both get weak east draws.

LSU is going to really need om to take a step forward and catch either bama or atm to have a good chance to win the west

I can't wait for a set sec schedule so that everything is at least on the table and there's no doubt its equitable.
