Memphis and Cincinnati make the most sense from a market standpoint. It also bridges the league geographically.

They could do worse.

If choices were Memphis and MTSU, the Blue Raiders are probably the better long term pick.

I would love that. Honestly I've always had a soft spot for SMU, so I legitimately think they belong just as much as Baylor or TCU.

Tulane and Colorado At would be the smartest picks. New Orleans and Denver markets make the most sense.

The SEC would collapse without us. We're the glue that holds everything together.
For example, the SEC hadn't won a national championship in football for 12 years before '92, but wins one the first year we join and hasn't gone but a few years in between without winning one, since.

TV market wouldn't infiltrate Nola with Tulane. Even Tulane students and alumni don't care about Tulane football.

Lame. Not many people would miss ark. if they went elsewhere. But I for one am ok with keeping the hogs

I said long term.
Nashville > Memphis
MTSU = 20K undergrads > UM = 17K undergrads
MTSU Nobel Prize winners = 1 > UM Nobel Prize winners 0

In that case, thank you for being an auto-win for the Big 6 en route to numerous championships.

Cincinnati and Tulane would be the smart picks
Both have academics and big endowments
Cincinnati makes West Virginia less of an island
Tulane gets B12 into NOLA

They'll take Cincinnati and UCF.
Maybe Tulane...but they already have multiple private schools.

Link was to Boren (who wanted Louisville) so it is not happening. Unless this came out of austin it is probably wrong.
