10k for Nebraska

quote:

The Big Ten Conference on Monday issued a public reprimand of the Cornhuskers' head coach and fined the university $10,000 for Pelini's comments about the officiating in a loss to Iowa last week.

University spokeswoman Chris Anderson said the money will come out of Pelini's compensation.

OSU is scolded

quote:

The conference statement said the reprimand was issued to Ohio State's coaching staff for "failing in its duty to effectively manage the process of escorting an ejected student-athlete from the playing field to the locker room."

So let me get this straight. Instead of punishing the player who fought and then flipped off the entire Big House on national tv, they scold OSU for not holding his hand on the way out, making sure he doesn't do anything stupid to put pressure on the B1G to do something that would hurt their chances of getting a team in the national championship. This, while fining a coach $10,000 for whining about refs. I wonder if the person who made this decision is a leader or a legend...
