I have to go with Butch Jones. At least Jones has been able to have a few winning records when he coaches for the entire season.

Coach O on the other hand... no winning seasons when he's not an interim head coach.

God speed LSU. You now have your Muschamp.

Based on current evidence it is Butch Jones.

I vote for a tie...I base this on coach O taking his team to the indoor practice facility during a lightening delay and putting them through a 2 hour full contact scrimmage before restarting the actual game against wake forest....or going for it on 4th and 1 at the 50 yd line while leading 14-3 with 9 minutes left in the game, and losing 17-14. its things like these that allows Butch to rally for the tie....ripping your shirt off in the locker room and challenging the biggest and toughest guys on the team to a fight is considered a plus, in my book.

Close call. I believe I would take O and just deal with ncaa sanctions that will most likely come over Butch any day.

O cleaned up Kiffin's mess at USC and kept LSU pretty steady after firing Miles. He's a hell of an interim coach, but can he win like that consistently full-time?

Butch certainly has Tennessee playing better than they were in the late Fulmer-Dooley years. That said, I'm not sure if he'll ever be able to take them much further than he already has.

I see O turning out like Muschamp. He'll lead us to a few mediocre seasons but leave the roster in pretty good shape, probably better than Muschamp's roster in fact

Well, Butch does have those two signature wins over Vandy since he's been at Tennessee, so...

I must have missed the memo that an LSU has a coach that actually lost to a FCS team that isn't even capable of completing a single pass in a game.

.....and let me know the next time we go entire game against an ACC team without converting a single 3rd down.

You can't judge Coach O from 10 years ago at Ole Miss. What you could possibly judge him on is that he went 6-2 at USC and 5-2 at LSU. He can only truly be judge from 17' and beyond.

Jones is 14-18 in the SEC.

you cant judge him from Ole Miss. I think we can all agree that Ole Miss is a shite hole program and no one could win there.
