Between Isaiah McKenzie and Marshall Morgan, I'm picking Georgia. Shocker.

Anyways, who else should I be aware of in SEC?

I know Alabama's punter is a complete badass, reminds me of Wing.

Of course Alabama probably won't have a great place kicker. Their biggest problem is that Saban is such an awful decision maker when it comes to special teams.

QB and PK has been Saban's achilles heel.

At this point I'd rather just angle punts or go for every fourth down in field goal range.

JK Scott is a freak. We have a really good punter and kicker combo and they each have three years left. Our punt coverage is filthy but the rest of our special teams is meh. Unless you ask Alabama

Bama wins automatically because JK Scott is the freakiest freak punter of all time.

For such a smart guy, he really is an idiot when it comes to those decisions.

And I know it's not idiocy, it's stubbornness, but still. You've got a great punter and defense. Maybe don't try that 50-yard field goal.

Maybe he just thinks that he can afford to attempt long field goals, because the defense will bail them out on misses even giving the opposing offense good field position. Still, that's really dumb, considering he's been burned by it time and time again.

Yep, Bamas punter is a stud.

Homer.......LSU has always been pretty solid on ST. Wait till the SEC gets a load of Guice and Jackson

But he's contradicted by Bama's place kicker. They haven't had a guy that can consistently hit 30+ since Kiffen. Even he struggled his first year as well.

Just saw this. Jesus Christ, when your punter can do that, he's clearly a weapon.

Keehn needs to be more consistent with his punting. He'll bomb two, and then absolutely shank the third.

Our punt/kickoff coverage will be very good. I'm hoping we go back to what we did in the 2011 season, when we had all of our best guys on kickoff coverage. It was unbelievable watching Reid, Claiborne, Mingo, Landry, Brooks, etc. on the coverage team. I know it's an injury risk because that's the most dangerous play in football, but still.

Definitely worried about our place-kicking. Don't trust Delahoussaye at all. I trust him even less than Alleman, which is saying something. Because Alleman is one of the worst kickers we've had at LSU maybe this century.

Hopefully we won't be attempting too many long field goals this season.

We have a great punter and return game. Unfortunately, I'm honestly just hoping we hit all our extra points, and can pick up most FGs under 40 yards.

Darrius Sims is a very dangerous return man. He took 2 kickoffs back against SC. As for our kicker Tommy Openshaw was perfect under 40, but his distance was questionable. Although, reports out of camp are that he has added an appreciable bit of distance and kept the accuracy. Colby Cooke was less than stellar in the punting game though. He averaged 42.4 yards per punt with an average net of 34.7. Although, Mason said during his call-in show that Openshaw might have surpassed Cooke for the punting duties, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

We aren't first, but we aren't last.
