I just wish I could have seen a full season with Will Grier at the helm, that was an exciting team to watch with him.

Too bad Jim McElwain can't juggle a toothbrush.

Mcelwain is a terrible recruiter. I guess I'd go with Mullen but it's like asking who's the smartest kid in special ed. Everyone, outside of Saban, in the SEC is very, very underwhelming.

McElwain was hired because of his Offensive background and his work with QBs. His Offense at UF has been a total failure and his Defense needs to be credited to Muschamp.

This thread will eventually evolve into a discussion of Mullen. One side will argue that what he has done at Mississippi State is amazing, the other will point to his record vs top 25 and say he is overrated.

The guy who has never been a coordinator for a single Power 5 program?

I am going to guess coaching isn't his forte.

Gus is the only HC outside Saban with an SEC title that is currently in the league so by default its him. 2 title appearances and 2 SEC Championships is hard to come by these days.

Mullen/Malzahn/McElwain

Bielema's resume is the best.

Butch may be the best program COO.

Kirby the best recruiter.

Sumlin the coolest helicopter.

Freeze the best preacher.

Mason the most swag.

Odom the stupidest nickname.

Stoops the most likely to be called his brothers name.

Muschamp the biggest bro

Coach O the most bilingual

He's getting credit for appearances/titles as an assistant too?

What Mullen has done to keep them bowl eligible so often and out of last place puts him pretty high on my list.

Jim McElwain has made chicken salad out of chicken shite ever since he got to Gainesville, but now that it is mostly his players we will get to see how good he actually is.

Malzahn is the only other active coach in the Sec right now that has actually won the SECCG. You have to respect that, right?

If Malzahn has 2 then Smart and McElwain have about 10

Especially for Gus since he hasn't done it twice

Just stop already! Yellow teeth might not make it past this year and does it really matter who is next best? Saban is so far in front it really doesn't matter.

But, if you're putting a gun to my head, Mullen. I would have loved him at LSU.

IMO there will be jobs opened up after this season. Auburn, A&M and Florida could very well be looking for coaches with USCe not far behind with Muschamp, although he will have a long leash.

If Mullen just had 1 ounce of recruiter in him.....

I know State is a tough place to draw recruits, but he loses players who start the recruiting cycle saying that they want to go to MSU. They're advertising that Dan can get them if he just shows some love. Nope, there's just as good a chance that they end up at an out of state school
