Hard to believe, but aside from Bama, we don't have an SEC that could hang with OSU or Mich, and it may be a toss up for AU, UF, or LSU to win versus Wiscy or PSU

Why has the SEC been surpassed, better coaching in the Big10? Better QB play through the conference? Better talent?

If the 7 teams in the B10 East faced off against their counterpart in the SEC West tomorrow, the SEC team would be favored in every game except LSU-Michigan and Auburn-Ohio State.

ETA: Jeff Sagarin has the 4th team in the B10 East rated below the last team in the SEC West.

We would be 1-2 if our top 3 played

Isn't that all anyone cares about

And Wiscy would beat, UF Nebraska kills UK or UT

OP is correct. Michigan and Ohio State would beat the shite out of anyone in the west not named Alabama

They PROBABLY would. But both of those teams had games where they lost or almost lost to teams worse than auburn or LSU.

Who honestly makes the Big 10 divisions and puts Michigan and Ohio State on the same side? Dumb.

You're right. I'll update. Doesn't change that the SECW would be favored in 5/7.

Yeah because they have the best coaches.

Meyer
Harbaugh
Dantonio
Franklin

SEC isn't even in the same ballpark from a coaching standpoint anymore.

Dantonio is a stud. What was that this year, 1 conference win?

Saban > all

Meyer and Harbaugh are close behind him

Most other SEC coaches

Franklin

Bielema

Dantonio

Mizzou coach (whoever he is)

The rest of the B10 coaches

Same could be said about the SEC

We used to have 2-3 elite teams each year

Lately we got Bama

Two teams

The rest

Missouri

How logically can you even compare Bielema with Dantonio, much less suggest he's better?

Dantonio built Mich State from the ground up and achieved what even Nick Saban couldn't: dominance for a time over UM and OSU along with becoming a national level team.

Bielema inherited a solid program and basically just maintained what was already in place. He then went to Arkansas and has done absolutely nothing of note.

You have coaches such as O, Sumlin, Mullen, Feeze, jones, ahead of Franklin?

It was in an attempt to avoid multiple tOSU/UM games in a season. That game should ideally be played once a season.
