Are we really saying State is going to maybe go to the NCAAT this year and win 30+ games next year because they beat terrible LSU, Texas A&M and schitzo Arkansas? They lost at home to Alabama 2 weeks ago for goodness sakes.

Hell, this year we might make it to the NCAA Tourney.

102 RPI 17 games into the season isn't going to "might" an NCAA bid unless you win the SEC tourney.

States OOC SOS is 308

State would need to go unbeaten the rest of the way damn near it.

Why even start a thread with this question if you are just going to get your panties in a wad if people disagree?

Why isn't Howlsnd still coaching UCLA?

Sports Illustrated released a story in 2012 highlighting how Howland lost control of the program and its players. This is why he was let go. You can read the full story (its a little lengthy) here:

LINK

Not to say Howland is a bad coach. He has had success in the past and has been a hell of a recruiter. But hopefully he learned from his past mistakes. UCLA players were fighting with each other, drinking/taking drugs before practice, intentionally hurting each other in practice, taking heavy drugs at off campus parties.

It is obvious that Los Angeles offers many more vices than Starkville, but the way he let that program get out of hand was fascinating.

He has addressed what happened several times. He says that he isn't going to allow it to happen again, but only time will tell. He suspends players for being late to meetings and shoot-arounds, so he is trying to keep a lid on player behavior.

You're a fricking retard. There is a reason every school, except MSU passed on him for years and years. He let his thugs run things at UCLA, got out coached numerous times in the tournament. He couldn't even win a national championship with a stacked team. Look at this final years at UCLA and that's with stacked teams of 5 star players.

and no he hasn't changed, he will still let his players run the program.

Well at UCLA he had a reputation of letting his players do whatever the frick that wanted. They always thugged out during games.
