Yeah not sure what he's smoking. State isnt winning 30+ next year. He was also completely wrong about that, Howland only won 21 games his 3rd year at Northern Arizona.

To win 30 games you basically have to go to the Final Four, SEC Tournament Finals and lose about 3-4 games the entire year.

Change of lineup definitely helps but I think the players are starting to understand their role and just playing better.

What? You can't be serious.

27 is the most wins Mississippi State has in its history in a single season. That happened in 2001-02. Yet you're telling all of us that its going to happen next year?

Do you understand what all goes into winning 30 games in a season? You're talking 4 losses or less all season long. Arkansas did it in 1995 with 7 losses, but we played a shite ton of games and went all the way to the National Title game.

Howland never had a 30 win season at Northern Arizona. He never won 30 games at Pitt. So, your claim is false and made up.

Liverpi has their expected record at 17-13, clearly on track for a 30 win season next year

State fan here and yes, 30 games post was moronic. I do think Howland is building a solid program. If he sticks around I expect us to be a consistent tourney team and make a run at a sweet 16 or Elite 8 in the next 3-5 years. Once you get there it is a crap shoot but he is recruiting at a very high level and seems to be a very good x's and o's coach, very pleased with what he has done so far. We just need to add a couple more pieces and add some depth in the post.

Howland lets his players run the program, that's got him run off or fired everywhere he's been, it's hard to see him there 5 years from now.

That hasn't been the case so far in Starkville. Malik Newman came in as one of the top players in the country last year and he transferred because Howland wouldn't cater to him and his uncle.

You seriously believe the Northern Arizona or Pitt ran him off?

Howland is a better x/o coach than Calipari.

I seem to remember a Calipari Memphis team with 1 NBA player beating the hell out of a UCLA team that had Russell Westbrook, Darren Collison, Kevin Love, and that a moute guy. That's 4 NBA players with 2 being All NBA players. Memphis embarrassed that team and as we see now, UCLA was more talented.

Buy. Mississippi State is the youngest team in the NCAA. The next few years are gonna be fun.

Hell, this year we might make it to the NCAA Tourney.
