Think some of the haters on the board should take a little bit of advice from an actual basketball coach and start recognizing we aren't that bad. Dustin Johnson, I think our main ambassador should incorporate this quote in their sig.

Damn. I didn't realize the haters on this board bothered you so much to start this thread.

Marquette is a better basketball school historically than all SEC schools but Kentucky, Florida, and Arkansas

I suspect that he meant what he said but probably ought to be asking himself (Howland) how his defense gives up career performances to the opposing player(s).

Yeah I wasn't going to say anything on this topic because coaches say stuff like this all the time. But if we are going to discount what Ben Howland has done in his career because of the State of Basketball, if you will, then maybe Howland isn't who we should be quoting. Maybe we should throw in Calipari who said:

Nobody cares about Marquette historically. Marquette in 2016 is garbage and has a current RPI around 117 and this isn't mentioning Houston who is around 155.

Umm yes they do. But then again I am surprised a non basketball school wouldn't get that. FS1 and the Big East makes them in a position of care.
