Before the game I questioned Saban's "image" should he lose this game.

Bama fans scoffed at the notion he would suffer even the slightest blemish. What day you all now? Btw, this is NOT a flame as I sincerely hold him in high regard.

Is this coonass talk? Sorry, I don't speak it.

Also, he lost to ULM in his first year...I think we are all well aware that he has some blemishes.

Worst coach in the SEC. We should have fired his arse as soon as he got done shaking hands with Miles at the 50.

I day he persevered through losses to UAB and UL-Monroe without damaging his image... this was a slug-fest against the #1 team in the country. I suspect the process will proceed.

There is no such thing as blind allegiance, especially when it comes to me. But when you're 51-12 with an SEC and a national championship under your belt, you really don't leave too much room for complaints. Is he infallible? No. But there has never been a coach who was.

Completely my bad at phrasing the comment. Do you believe the loss will negatively effect the recruiting, the image of Bama in the short run and his position as the"king" so to speak of college coaches. I apologize for not making my points clearer and I am sincerely respectful of everything Bama represents.

Nope. Especially on defense. We were nasty on D for the most part.

I don't think one game against a great defense is going to affect our offensive recruiting either.

Eh, I would say that Miles's status, and national public perception just got better rather than Saban's worse.

Not Saban's fault they missed 4 makeable field goals. LSU better consider themselves lucky - if they had even made one of the three in regulation, who's cryin' now?

Good take on the situation. If we are able to pull off another win this season (rematch) or next, I do believe it will begin to hinder the situation somewhat. Won't ever be a huge aspect, however I think it will not be without consequences. Good luck rest of the way Tide! Was a hellofva game!!

The kid has missed 5 out of 7 FGs this year. You can make a pretty good case that the anomaly was that he made one at all.

Yet guys like yourself are somehow confused that he didn't hit one of those 50 yarders.
