You are correct sir.

BUT, how in the world could anyone leave off Al Wilson? One of the best college middle linebackers I have ever seen play the game.

I find it interesting that Alabama has 4 offensive selections, and one defensive.

even with just a single season at Auburn there is no f-ing way Tebow should be ahead of Cam.

But three of them are offensive linemen and all three won the Outland Trophy. Two of them were top 10 NFL draft picks.

I couldn't help but notice that Tenn, who has been terrible for more than half of the BCS era, has more selections than LSU, who has been a top 5 program for the entire BCS era.

Willis isn't the one I would replace. Willis was an awesome college LB. One of the best I ever saw play the college game. So I get that we are splitting hairs here, but yes, I would suggest that Wilson was a better college middle backer than Willis.

Close to be true, but you still can't deny the TN players that are on there. If it were up to me, I would put one more UT player on there. I could remove one too, but the others are almost inarguable.

That just goes to show you how far UT has fallen.

TE Jason Witten, Tennessee

I know he's been really good in the NFL, but as far as college goes even Richard Dickson from LSU had better numbers and success in college....

Jason witten

All of the following below had better careers in college.

Richard Dickson

Ben Troupe

Orson Charles

Leonard Pope

Jacob Tamme

DJ Williams

I know its probably not the best idea to put him on the list but...

Aaron Hernandez

Should Barrett Jones really be on that list? He was a good player but i dont think he is in the realm of these guys. Idk maybe im wrong.

Never forget him chasing McFadden down from behind, amazed a linebacker was so fast. Too bad he played for very bad teams under orgeron and didn't get to start for the very good 03 team because of David cuttcliff's stupid belief in seniority 1st, talent 2nd.

Richard Dickson

Who?

I'm sort joking. Dickson did a great job for LSU when he played. Lets be frank though, there is a reason that Dickson wasn't drafted and Witten was 3rd rounder.

Honestly though, thats the problem with evaluating the TE position. Its not just about receptions. Its also about blocking. I have to be honest, I don't remember Dickson's blocking skills. He'd have to be damn good to be on the same level as Witten.

Addition:
I saw your edit about Ben Troupe. Yes, now he was probably better than Witten. Troupe was an awesome TE at Florida. Not only could he catch anything thrown to him, but he could collapse the end of a defensive line.

The players that should get consideration from Auburn would be Cam, Fairley, Marcus McNeill, and Carlos Rogers. Obviously Cam should be on there, and McNeill is arguable. Don't really have a problem with the guys ahead of the three besides Cam

Couple of others guys added to the list. DJ Williams at Arkansas seems to be by far the most productive TE on the list in terms of catching passes.

This shouldn't matter if you are talking about college performance. Maybe say ALL-NFL for SEC guys in BCS Era if that's apart of your selection criteria.
