Will either team be worth a shite when the game is played?

What are they doing with the center pole, the one that holds the position markers, loud speakers, and tv screen?

This game is gonna be an epic fail. There are no seats close enough to the field.

Should be interesting. Used to go the spring race every year.

Stayed in the backyard of a man named "Crusher." Pretty sure he had ingested A LOT of pseudoephed and glue fumes in his life.

Great venue for racing, should be the same for a game.

Crowd noise won't be a factor.

Tailgating, gonna be awesome. Actual game will be for shite.

(rehashing)

Look at the distance from the seats to the field. That distance makes the La Coliseum look like a reasonable place to play football. Some of those seats in the endzones look like they are over 100 yards away from the back of the nearest endzone. And the closest seats are like 50 yards from the sideline. Nifty one off idea, think the fans that actually watch a game will get a shite product.

Now imagine the 50 yard line being at that tower

That's my thought as well. I have no desire to see this game in person. Unless they plan on having seats installed on the track so people can actually see the game.

How's the camera going to work? I'm assuming they will have to use other options closer to the field than what Nascar uses...

We used to pay a lot of attention to what was going on around the crew trucks. The seating is pretty dang steep - when you walk in at ground level from the outside, you're already nearly half the way up the lower bowl. It's not as bad or as far as it seems.

When is this game? I think it's a cool idea, but not sure it will work either.

Exactly. Football for ants. I wonder if there is a reason every stadium now being built or refurbished is moving the seats closer to the field.

Like I said, nifty one off, just don't think its going to have any long term appeal for actual fans in the seats. Party time - yes. Fine on tv - of course. Watching it in person unless you are on the sidelines and even those are pretty far away - no way.

In the map Relapse posted, they're supposed to be installing seats in the sections on the track marked "Battlefield".

At 8:30 last night, there were already 200+ people in line for tickets. I'll need to get a status report from one of my friends who waited until this morning to try and get tickets.

the only way this has a positive outcome for fans is if they allow people to come in and tailgate on the track during the game.

it would be cool to bring in your own TV/cooler tailgate tent and watch the game from there.

I know that almost the entire track has an incline to it but if they were able to incorporate this it could be cool as hell.

It's hard for me to imagine how they will make the actual game time viewing more enjoyable but leading up to the game and tailgating is going to be the shite!
