Where are you guys putting your teams at in the this power house that is the SEC?

I've got Arkansas at 4 or 5. Moses Kingsley is getting serious early looks at SECPOTY and we pulled in a couple good JUCO's including #1 rated JUCO player Jalen Barford. Our little white guy can shoot 3's for days.

Florida
Auburn
A&m
Tennessee
LSU

How's everyone feeling about their squads?

As long as Mizzou is down, the SEC will be viewed as being down, they are a traditional power.

I am sure of 2 things in SEC hoops. UK will win the conference, and Ole Miss will own Arkansas like they have since Rob Evans and that racist guy(forgot his nAME) were coaches.

AU could be a solid #6 behind those 5. I think AU is an NIT team, maybe play-in game. Pearl said the postseason is the expectation this year. This is the most talented Auburn team since at least 2003, and the first time since Pearl has been here that we have D-1 quality depth.

Auburn Scholarship Roster
Bold indicates projected starter
0 - F/C Horace Spencer (SO 6'8 220) 4*
1 - PG Jared Harper (FR 5'10 165)4*
2 - SG Bryce Brown (SO 6'3 195) 4*
3 - SF/PF Danjel Purifoy (rFR 6'7 230) 4*
4 - SG TJ Dunans (SR 6'5 174) 4*, #1 JUCO
5 - SG Mustapha Heron (FR 6'5 215) 5*
12 - F/C LaRon Smith (SR 6'8 215) grad transfer
23 - G/F TJ Lang (JR 6'7 200) 3*
24 - F/C Anfernee McElmore (FR 6'7 210) 3*
35 - PG Ronnie Johnson (SR 6'0 180) grad transfer
44 - G New Williams (SO 6'2 170) 4*

Rumor is 6'11" 5* Austin Wiley who signed today will graduate in December and enroll in January and be eligible immediately. If that happens AU may overtake Ark or somebody at the bottom of that top 5 and make the dance.

That's a lot of stars in that starting line-up. Look's like Pearl is doing work. How much that cost you guys?

Dazon Ingram back from injury will replace Retin. Nick King (former top 50 recruit) and Bola Olaniyan (averaged close to 9 rebounds per game last year) are two new players that will contribute. Corban Collins also.

All in all, I'm just hoping Norris and Hale can finally be more consistent shooters. Hall and Taylor aren't going to be huge scoring threats in the paint, but if they can learn to box out and hell on the boards, that can be huge. Alabama has literally been the worst team in giving up second chance points and creating them.

The two recruits, Ar'mond David and Braxton Key, will be contributors

I'm pretty excited about Georgia's team this year. Returning Yante Maten and J.J. Frazier who are two very good players. We also add two 4* freshman guards and return a lot of other talent.

If Mark Fox doesn't get it done this year, is he done at UGA? 2 tournament appearances (never gotten past the first round) in 7 years.

Willis as a senior will be fun to watch and I'm looking forward to how Briscoe and Humphries progress from year one to year two. We may not look good early but once the freshman start to progress we should be alright.

Fox is lightning quick and will make a great Backcourt trio with Monk and Briscoe. Our frontcourt should be much better this year with Bam, Wenyen and Humphries.

Our OOC is loaded but nothing that we can't handle.

Hoping Pearl's recruiting finally translates to some wins on the court.
