No flame here..I really thought A&M had the best team out there. Best chance for them to actually win somehting.
LSU choked yesterday. No other way to say it.
MSU and Sourh Carolina the bats went cold at the worst tine.
Horrible Super Reguonals for the conference.

Baseball is cruel in that the games are so dull.

Well you could say they "choked." That would be another way to say it.

Crazy day yesterday. Two road teams walk off to Omaha on the home team's field.

It sucked hearing over the LSU PA system after the game say, "We would like to thank our fans for a great season. We will see you in February."

The home favorites play tight. The underdog visitor plays loose looking to shock the world. Baseball is a game meant to be played loose. That Louisville team had no business losing in 2 games to ANY team.
I see it almost every year. I've decided it's almost a disadvantage to be the home team playing in front of 10'000 plus. Kids today aren't intimidated by that. They thrive in it.
Our kids were pressing. The other team was dialed in. It will happen again next year with several host favorites. Post-season baseball is very much mental. It's why those West-Coast small ball teams who lack the big sticks and gaudy numbers do so well in post-season. They play the mental game better.

Why is baseball cruel?
It's pretty straight forward. Score more runs and you win.

I'm sorry, but did these teams not make it further than Ole Piss did in the tourney? Did Ole Piss not get eliminated in their Regional which they hosted??

Baseball and Basketball actually determine their champions on the field. If you have a flaw, it will be exposed during the tourney. Unlike football, where a beauty contest takes place.

I know you are not talking. Ole Miss will never ever let the conference down. Everybody know Ole Miss sucks and it's not a letdown when you lose. Everybody just sees it coming.

And Ole Miss didn't? You think Ole Miss represented the SEC well?

A&M played tight.
A&M batters watched strikes and swung at balls.
TCU scored not by timely hitting, but on A&M errors.
That's a tougher pill to swallow.

I think I heard State was 40-1 this year when leading after 8th inning, the 1 just happened to be the game that eliminated us. But that's baseball, gotta get hot at just the right time.

Louisville was 186-0 since May 2012 when leading after 8 innings before yesterday.
