Time for another weekend series. Who does your team play? Are they any good? What's your prediction? Is weather gonna be a factor? Go
We play SLU. Starting at four this afternoon. They were second in division last year. They are 4-0 and are coming off a sweep of Ohio Valley conference champion Eastern Illinois. I say we take 2-3 this weekend putting us at 6-1, and I'll be happy with that. What say you? Post your score updates too.

Im expecting a sweep and will be disapointed with anything less.
ETA: Southeastern is starting Mississippi Native Tyler Watkins in game 1 today. Tyler is from Petal, and the son of legendary Petal HS baseball coach Larry Watkins.

OM plays the mighty Golden Grizzlies from Oakland, Michigan.
This season, their baseball team was selected to finish sixth in the Summit League.
The Golden Grizzlies finished 22-34 and 10-18 in the Summit League.
With today being their first game of the season and first time to practice outside since November, I predict a clean sweep

I know the kid pitching for Southeastern, and want him to do good, but Id rather him do good and State still win. How good is SE LA supposed to be this season????

We play @ top 25 ECU. Who lost 2/3 vs #4 UVA last weekend. SC looks to avenge blowing the regional last year against ECU and missing out on the super regionals.
SC is currently up 2-0 top 4.

is the USC vs ECU any type of rivalry. Their football team should have beaten Arky in the Liberty Bowl and they obviously have a decent baseball program.
I know they're no where near yalls level overall, but USM is an annoying rival to State and Ole Miss in a similar situation

I suppose, and next weekend we have a series vs Clemson.
And it seems to be forming that way. We beat them 2/3 in Columbia 2 years ago. They won their regional with us in it last year (which we blew the lead.. still erks me) and now this series.
Besides that our only connection was Skip Holtz being their head coach. However starting in 2011 our football teams begin a 5-game series.
So I suppose one is building.

My Dawgs are starting a 3 game series with Stetson today. Weather should be good, sunny all weekend, high in the low 50's. I don't really know a hell of alot about Stetson. I know it's in Florida, and Chipper Jones dad used to coach there...

That is why I was excited to see we get a chance to avenge ourselves in less than a year later. Hopefully we can take this series.
Props to ECU for starting their 1st 2 series vs the #4 and #10 teams in the nation.
