Bama's key to Victory is the O-line & Richardson

It's simply the truth..Richardson is the go to guy and if LSU bottles him up, or at least keeps him somewhat contained, the Tigers will win. But if Bama's line can outmuscle the LSU front four and create lanes for Richardson to where he can get chunks of yardage like he is known for doing, it's going to be hard for LSU to keep him out of the endzone this go round.

I predict LSU stacks the box and forces AJ to throw, and Chavis comes with a flurry of blitzes to rattle the young signal caller. This will force him to make some errant throws, at least one of which will result in an LSU interception. McCarron will have to make at least a couple of big throws on third down, and I just don't think the Bama receivers will fare well against LSU's secondary.

This game is just like the first..It will be low scoring and a battle of the trenches. The Tide's success hinges on the runs of their heisman candidate No. 3 on Monday night. He will have the most pressure to deliver for the Alabama faithful.

Here's to another classic

Bama doesn't have dynamic playmaking ability anywhere on their team other than Richardson.

Well if they perform well we win. Other players, other than Trent have to step up to make it possible.

McCarron and Lacy = Keys to victory IMO.

Bama has to get offensive production from the TE and WR positions, along with backup RBs, in order to win. Trent will get his, it is like tackling an anvil.

That's what I'm saying..Bama has traditionally relied on the ground game to pound teams into submission, and they will try to do the same here. McCarron will have to make some throws, yes..but the real test is the how the big guys do up front to try to pave lanes for Richardson

It will be interesting to see how it turns out. He had a couple of nice runs the last game but wasn't dynamic. LSU's key to victory is simply trying to shut/slow Richardson down. Everything should fall in line if they can do that

and when Reid hits T.R., I am hoping that this time the fumble is not bouncing out of bounds.

I disagree. The key for both teams is QB play. LSU will stop the run and so will Alabama. It comes down to how Jefferson plays. McCarron isn't really asked to do much - just hand the ball off, hit a few screen passes, hit a slant route, and convert a third down or two. Jefferson is asked to do much more with this offense - option, draws, sneaks, scrambles, etc.. It's simply this -If Jefferson has a good game LSU wins. If Jefferson has a bad game LSU loses.

Key to LSU victory......making those overweight LB's run side to side and wear down. Lonergan at Center moving the NG (T-Bob could not do this)and JJ being efficient.

We contain the big plays from everyone but TR and Bama has no chance.....again.

Richardson in the slot and Lacy as rb would do wonders.

McCarron is the key. He didn't play "badly" last time, he just didn't make the plays he could have. He has gotten better. Hopefully, it's enough. I don't see LSU's QB's doing much. LSU is a big play team in all three phases. Bama took the big play away last time. They need to do the same this time.

That's what people were saying the first time around fwiw. They'll fare no better this time; in fact it could be much worse.

Here is the wierd part. It did not work gainst LSU and will not as LSU is much deeper an DL than bama is at OL. We use 8-10 DL. That is why LSU was getting stronger at the end of the game last time and why Bama panicked. LSU is actually deeper in players that will see the field than Bama. So the question is does Saban double down and try it again, or put it in McCarrons hands?

Really a catch22.

Saban doesnt fully trust McCarron, and his is right to think that may. I know his nightmare. I saw McCarrons senior year at St. Pauls. He is 100% gunslinger aka Farve just throw it up there at heart. They dont have anyone but maze that can handle that

Well, I'm not sold on that. I understand you're just being an Alabama fan and thinking optimistically, but LSU's defense (barring a couple of plays) shut down the Alabama offense last time they played.

I don't think Bama's offense is going to suddenly be much improved, or rather, that LSU's defense is going to suddenly forget how to play football

Bama's Offense didn't light it up, but it was better than LSU's against Bama's Defense. McCarron made some mistakes (the coaches say there were 5 plays where he could have been the difference maker, and he was 0-5), but he's in his 1st year starting. He has gotten better. JJ & JL are both SR.'s. We know what to expect.
