Bama- 11
SEC- 12 (LSU-3, Florida-3, Tennessee-2, Auburn-2, Texas A&M-1, Georgia- 1)
What are the chances that Bama gets two more national championships before any of the other SEC teams wins one?

Nothing's changed. Stanford could have made noise in the playoffs this year. TCU last year.

Not good for the SEC has a whole. It makes the SEC look too top heavy much like the Pac10 during USC's reign. In fact, the Pac12 and the Big1G probably have as many strong teams as the SEC these days.

Do you apply the same logic to the Heisman? By your count, how many Heismans are legit?

How can you look at Hillary Clinton and say I gotta have some of that, but not look at the 1979 season and say Alabama doesn't have a legit title?

This...big time. Bama was unanimous in 79 in every poll. 12-0 record and I was around then going to games. There was ZERO debate that Bama was number 1. Not sure why there is a problem with this one but whatever.

Chicken started a long thread a while back that has his rationale in it. Basically the only "legit" titles are ones where #1 played #2. I'm not familiar with bama's 79 season, but I"m assuming it wasn't a 1v2 matchup, therefore by chicken's metric it is not legit.

How is this? you don't count anything before a certain year, or you only count undisputed?
Either way, glad what you "have" isn't a measure that the world uses.
