Battle made two very good hires with men's and women's basketball head coaches, appears to have made a very solid baseball hire, oversaw a very sweet renovation of the baseball stadium and leaves the athletic department in absolutely terrific financial shape... that's a damn good track record for a 75 year-old man who kicked cancer's arse while in the job. And it was a job he was hired to fill temporarily after Mal Moore's death.
Now, compare that to Jay Jacob's record.
And ask why AU's stadium expansion was put on hold.
