Just heard Coach Stallings speak at an FCA banquet. Seemed like a man of high integrity. What was the fanbase impression of him when he coached there?

Well loved. Well respected. He's a genuine person and never treated people wrong as far as I know.

He was an outstanding coach, won a NC and fielded one of the greatest defenses ever to suit up at the Capstone

Great guy, played for the Bear, coached under Bear, won us a title. What's not to love? Well he could have tried to have some type of offense but oh well.

I don't think there are many people, Bama fans or not, who don't think highly of Stallings. He was like Snyder or Beamer, one of the last of the grand old gentlemen of CFB. He does TAMU proud. I'd take him at my university any day of the week.

One of the last true old-school gentlemen to coach the game. You'd be hard-pressed to find even an opposing fan with something bad to say about the guy.

As an Auburn fan I always liked Stallings.

Humorous picture of him and Dye from a couple of years ago.

Because he didn't. Langham came to him with the bar napkin story. He reported Langham to the compliance department, who then told him that they were handling things with the NCAA and Langham was cleared to play.

Gene Jelks got Alabama it's first probation.

This is like when a fish jumps in the boat while you are drinking a beer and about to leave.

Hell I was being serious.

Anyone who doesn't like Gene Stallings is probably a communist. Professional accomplishments aside, he is just a genuinely decent human being.
