I didn't start watching the game until the end of the first half - right about the time your OLB picked off the pass to the flat (kinda felt sorry for Browning there). I felt like they held their own at the time.

I was watching the 30 minute cutup and viewed the entire game in a half hour. It seemed you were running on them pretty easily from the beginning. Hurts also did you no favors.

Anyway, I am curious how you rank their defense from last year's schedule.

They were surprisingly quick and gave up a good fight. But I also think it was a combo of our Offense losing steam towards the end of the season.

I'd rank them as defenses we faced

LSU
Auburn
UF
UW

It was legit but if our quarterback wasn't garbage in the passing game we would have named our score. They are nothing to sneeze at though.

Kiffin was playing it safe with our QB and the pass route selection trying to prevent any INT's which helped them defense us pretty good early on.

He always gave up on the run too early.

Didn't they just lose 3 starters from their secondary to the first round?

I don't think they were all first round but yeah, they lost a lot in the secondary. They should still be strong at safety.

They will be good at corner too. Not elite but very good.
